So what your saying is that your gonna blow it before the end of winter.lol So does the LSJ have the thin ring land issue? Well w/e it blows I say 365whp is better than any other stock four banger I know of. I know guys with Honda's that make that but they either blew up on the dyno or during the a run. But be sure to get to track before you blow it.

yeah I'll be babying it for a while, but so far motor is holding together fine, pistons are somewhat fine. considering I've been over 280-290 whp for a year now, and now 356 for 2-3 months I thinkg it's doing good.
as for pistons, yes they do have weak ringlands. But already started on the next motor, and it will more than take care of any reliability issues (motor should be good to 750+whp)

how exactly do you blow up the turbo? The turbo fails because of itself, or something that the engine did?

yeah tuning plays a big part, and also constant monitoring. I datalog all the time and have my aeroforce and wideband and watch them anytime I make a pull. That's probably what kept my car alive.
As for now, it's still fine, passed a compression and leak down test last week. So it's good for now. detuned it today though since with the cold my fuel pump can't keep up with demand and keeps leaning out. so 16psi it is til the new turbo and fuel pump are installed next week hopefully.
