idle
I had a problem with my idle would drop and try to stall, then shoot to 3,000 and then be fine... ended up being a reflash from gm with an updated software package, this with less than 3000 miles on the car... lets see what else I can find

Sounds like an injector issue. Would it constantly do it or do it once and then stop?

Probably something to do with the duty cycle on the injectors. Probably just a factory mishap, that's all.

Lots of people seem to have this. My car is an '06 that I recieved end of February. Never had the idle problem. Maybe I have a newer re-flash. I know a GM-tech who reflashed his '06 with the latest program, but it didn't cure it. Mine waives a little at times, but it is pretty normal from other cars I have had. It settles after one or two "blips".
I hope mine doesn't start though, as it has only 3,000 kms on it. I need to drive more!!!

someone mentioned it was the fuel pump... they had the weird idle problem then one day wouldnt start back up... he took it to the dealer and it was a faulty fuel pump... i also heard that it was a programming issue that is fixed with the stage 2... so we will see lol

I had that same problem. The Service writer at my dealer raised my idle from 700rpm to 800rpm, seems to help. The idle still bounces during the times when Im sitting in traffic w/ the A/C on. Somtimes Ill get the p1182, but thats from the K&N + the A/C being on.

yeah our maff sensors do not like air intakes... but if you have anyone with access to hp tuners.,, you can change the maf fail hz to 12000 and it should clear some issues

i have 4-6k on my car and it does the same idle issue where it almost stalls out and then revs like its over compensating for the lack of revs. i was talking to a friend and he said its the condensation in the air. have there ever been other chev motors with the same issue or is this a new issue for these type of motor's?
