Question 2.0/2.2 head on a 2.4 block

I just wanted to verify that this WON'T work. Does anyone know for sure?

That's correct. The mating surfaces are different for the LE5. The L61 and LSJ are interchangable. They have used LSJ heads on L61 blocks in racing engines for some time now.

Team Vision Racing is an unknown quantity at this point

They've also used L61 heads on LSJ blocks....with better results Just a little tidbit from my GM contacts.

K Brace from Turbotechracing.com never installed and have all mounting bolts for it. Vibrant Strut tower bars front/rear. Ford Lightning intercooler pump never used. Cobalt SS/SC stock H/E along with the hoses from the Intake manifold to the pump. Supercharger kit full assembly to install for a 5-speed cavalier/sunfire. I need a 5 speed ECU in return tho when selling it. Short block L61 with 36k miles.

Basically no. Because youd need to swap pistons and use direct injection at that point.

Ill have an update on My L61/LE5 hybrid very soon. As in this week, ive got both heads, both blocks, both gaskets, lots of pics, and all 3 sets of valves(yes LSJ also)
