just for a personal experience, not saying anyones wrong or right cause you do still need to be tuned, but i put the LSJ injectors along with the JBP stage 2 cams, 62mm tb, intake, pacesetter 4-1 header, and 2.5 exhaust, no tune. and i'm an auto. it runs no different except at WOT. come 6k rpms it goes way rich and bogs. but as soon as i back off the gas or if i hold it at just before WOT it runs just fine. seems to actually pull a slight better in 3rd gear (75mph+) but thats just the butt dyno. i just figured whats the harm in trying it since every car and setup is different,

also it only throws a system too rich code if i go WOT alot otherwise it never shows up. and second opinion riding in the car that has ridden in it alot before says it's no worse then before to so hard to say. definitely needs a retune tune to fully use it. as said

I know very old thread. We just ran into this problem. The rail on the right is on a 2004 cavalier parts car with what we thought was the original engine. The one on the left is in our 2004 cavalier race car. Are the fuel systems the only difference between the engines? Thanks

If refreshing the pictures above the 04 parts car has the 03+ fuel rail. Your race car would then have the one with the "hockey puck" on the hard line and is an 02 or earlier. There were only minor tweaks like the rail fittings. Everything is enter changeable and basically the same.

Thanks Cinpro. That's what I have been finding. I have begun gutting the parts car and all the parts are marked 03.
