    strange misfire

I have no codes thrown but at idle the car will occasionally misfire and under load at WOT it misfires (like the TC is on but I switched it off). I originally thought it was a voltage thing due to the serpentine belt being tired but after replacing the belt it is still acting up. I am wondering if at just 32k would it be time for fuel filter in the owners manual it says 50k but this is bugging the crap out of me. I am also thinking about plugs but again at just 32k they should be fine right?

should be fine is the key there. with todays fuel quality and the fact that we are running ethanol mixed gas in cars that were never meant for it. shortens the life span of parts.

I say 25k for fuel filters, 10-15k for air filters. 30k for plugs in an L61, sure, they are easy to do and the ICM is sensitive.(could be an ICM starting to go)
make sure your using high quality fuel.

I burn only Shell and from the same pump every time. A change of spark plugs seems to have cured the misfire but the old plugs looked perfect so I don't get it. fuel filter is still in the box I need to buy the removal tool and then it will be changed out.

Sounds to me like it could possibly be an ICM as well. Mine was doing teh same thing a little. I thought it just might have been within my drivetrain (clutch)... Replaced my ICM and plugs and seems to be running better.
