Throttle Body Boring!!!

So, due to popular request... we have set up a fixture and all the machining tools to bore throttle bodies to a TRUE 62mm STRAIGHT THROUGH! These are the first fully true 62mm TB's. I am an owner of another companies 62mm TB that is NOT actually 62mm.

SO we just wanted to make sure everyone knew that we have began boring throttle bodies... and the first one is already on its way our fellow N/A-er in Canada!

I'll keep you posted with pics for everyone... so you can see what they look like.

how much? i know a few guys who would jump on this. are you offering to bore ones they send, or selling bored out ones for core-return?

Glad to see some interest already.

We have yet to get our hands on some cores to bore so... We, for the short term, will be boring ones that get sent to us. Cost will be $229

Like I said, we have a fixture that allows us to bore them very accurately. +/- .002. Again these are Straight through bores of 62mm, with a throttle plate that is .005 smaller throttle plate which has been fully de-bured. We also go through and polish the bores surface to provide the best finish possible!

I'll get the pics up in a few so you can see exactly what you will be getting. I think you will be very happy with the outcome of what you will be getting.

what's the size of the intake manifold? sndsgood and i were lookin at this last weekend. he just recently had his tb polished so we were comparin the inner diameters of his tb and the intake manifold to see what adv a bored tb would be. not tryin to start a fight just haven't read much on it or haven't seen anything posted on its adv w/ results.

We currently have not found an effective way to dismantle and re-assemble the electronic (drive by wire) TB's as of yet, however we are working on it. You will see some increased throttle response... and with the addition of more mods... more effect from the throttle body can be seen. Remember an engine is an air pump... the more effective you can get air in and out the more power you can make. Just things to think about.
