Ok been having a blast with the truck, megasquirt is performing wonderfully when all warmed up, still some tweking around idle and start up but iv got the launch control and flat shifting working very well and the fuel map and spark map seem very good. Power is noticeable better then the factory ecu now that iv been able to tune for all the changes. Im getting pritty comfortable with it all and may be ready to swap the hybrid in. Vids and updates to come

Very nice build. I am not sure on the rods in the 09 but the 07 2.4 used a 1019 steel rod in 08 they had a c70 rods with cast cranks. I would for sure be looking for better rods if you are looking to build more that 250hp, if you looking to go above 300hp I would probably even swap out the crank just to be safe. Cant wait to see how it turns out I know of some circle track guys that have done this swap with 03-05 l61 head and love it.

    Oil pan is finished
Also the old 2.2 is still running strong and looking good, even spits some flames from time to time

Oil pan is on, just a few things and a good scrub down and it's ready to go in. As for the rods iv decided to go with a small turbo build and shoot for 250 so the bottom end should be good for now. Next build

    What turbo did you use?
I'm tempted to put my B207L Saab turbo on my L61 and tune with HP Tuners.

Ive got the big Saab turbo sitting on the shelf for sale. $300 will get it or make offer. I will never use it because of the super charger that I am in love with.
