Ordered the rest of the valves. Picked up 2 F23s, a OBX diff, both F23 service kits, and a set of GMPP adjustable cam gears off of PJ. M-tech shifter ordered for the F23. Bottom end should be going out to be assembled in about a month. I'll be ordering the headgasket, timing/seal kit, and head studs in the next few weeks. I am still undecided on what bump sticks to run. I am looking to make ~400whp and rev no higher than 7500rpms. Because street car 1st, race car 2nd.

The time has come, Tinks L61/TVS engine build. Stage 2. Assembly.

LSJ headgasket, Golden Eagle headstud, and ZZP Stage 2 cams are on their way to me. So that means that there are no more big parts left to buy and it is time to move on. On to "stage 2" that is.

I tore the short block apart and got it ready to be dropped off to be assembled.

    The planned specs:
    Ductile iron sleeves
    Eagle forged L61 crank
    Eagle forged L61 rods
    Wiseco forged 10:1cr L61 pistons
    Balance shaft delete
    GMPP oil pump gears

The block and goodies were dropped off last week. A set of ZZP Stage 2 LSJ cams, LSJ headgasket, and Golden Eagle head studs are here.

    Cool man!
Way off topic: remember back when I was asking you about the rear camber? Went 1.5 on the rear of my DD car and it was way too much, had to go with .75. Must not look as bad when the car is lowered, the DD sits very high.

I took alittle while but I brought the short block on on friday. I am very very happy with it and cannot wait to get it in the car. But I am going to wait. It'll go in once I get the head and trans done. After the engine does go in, I do not see any reason NOT to run OTTP's 1900 TVS on it. I might have to get alittle weird on fuels with the 1900(NO E85), but I am not worried.

On a side note I dropped in on one of my best friends from high school on the way home from picking up the short block and he said that he is dying to put Megasquirt on something. I told him that I have a Cavalier that would love to run Megasquirt, so we'll see what happens with that.

I vote yes for the 1900.

One of the 1900 testers just reported some of their findings this weekend. 1st thing reported that a 3.65" pulley on the 1900 is equal to a 2.6" pulley on the 1320 and they also mentioned that the Cobalt PCM doesn't like 30+psi at 2000rpms.....

I might have to figure out a dual fuel set-up so I can still fill up at the pump or just run 110+ octane...

Methanol injection. I have a Snow progressive boost referenced controller around here somewhere....
