I have an Opel GT as well as a 07 Sky redline. I am looking for info to transplant an ecotec into my Opel GT.
Welcome to the forum! Good luck with your search.
Thanks for your response, I have done many other engine swaps and hot rod builds in the years past. I am trying to get a feel for the engine(SIZE MATTERS) and its potential. I have a feel it's to tall and making it run without major wiring issues is my challenge.Welcome to the forum! Good luck with your search.

Dang hard to find an Opel GT these days. I looked for one in the 90's and had no luck. The plan was to put a 231 V6 in, but after I saw one up close there was no way. The dream died there.
Ever put any thought into a Quad 4 2.3L? They are OBD1 so there is less to control. They put down a good amount of power. More than a N/A Eco. The W41 was 185hp, if you get the right year. The problem is finding one or even just the cams and head.
It can be done, I put a sbc 400 in an Opel GT without much modifying. The best fit is a 3.4L V6 60 deg. But I want to try the ecotec.Dang hard to find an Opel GT these days. My Sky redline 2.0L is 265 HP from the factory, but I think the turbo creates more issues. I wish made a wire harness for ecotec aftrermarket.
Welcome to the forum. There are a couple of members on here with Ecotec experience that can make you a custom wiring harness. I don't recall their usernames off the top of my head, but if you search around in similar topics, they'll pop up.
Nothing is difficult; some things just take more time.
TAKE TO EXTREMES AND DOMINATE!
Wow I thought that all SBC swaps had tube frames. It can be done, I put a sbc 400 in an Opel GT without much modifying. The best fit is a 3.4L V6 60 deg. But I want to try the ecotec.
