    Injector Upgrades?

I may be getting a LNF from a friend and if I decide to build one of these I was wondering if anyone had hit the limit on injector flow rates of the stock DI injectors.
I have a some 3.6L Cadillac DI injectors laying around and I think these may flow more but I have no specs to back that up just yet.
Never really though about messing with a DI motor until now and I am curious who has any resources or experience.

I dont really know much about the DI itself but with an increase in fuel pressure through the tune zzp was making around 500whp with the lnf if that gives you any idea how much they flow.

Have you checked the HPT forum for info? The tuning involved is one of the issues with trying to expand the limits of the fuel system I think. If you decide to use the LNF you'll need to replicate the entire fuel system of course.

Nothing is difficult; some things just take more time.

500whp on stock fuel injectors? Is that a dyno number? That would be sweet.
I know that increasing fuel pressure will increase the injector flow but I just don't know how much before they are maxed out.
I am sure tuning is a big hurdle, it would suck to keep tuning and tuning and then realize you have to upgrade injectors and no one makes them yet, but if someone is doing 500whp then shit that is all I need....for now.

    Impressive
Sometimes I forget this is all in FWD cars...how the fuck does anyone get any traction....
So I would be able to use stock injectors and just play with boost and tuning and put down decent numbers. A friend of mind wants to put this in his Lotus project and I was unsure of what power levels can be had without fuel system upgrades...
    THANKS!!!

They can go further if you have access to the injector tables, which hpt does not have. There is another tuning company that will open up the injectors via the tune. I believe there have been near 500whp LNF's out there already.

Well considering the LNF is a product of the "new" GM...I'd stick with what you have and what's working. Of 2 LNF's I've owned, I've had to pull fuel pumps of both and reseal due to oil leaking due to an improperly sized o-ring. I've also had to pull the cam sensors out for the same reason. GM's fix for this is not new o-rings...it's silicone sealant. Other than that, I had problems with my ignition on my Cobalt and my wife's HHR didn't like to stop after a night of sitting in the garage. Ignition had nothing to do with the motor as it was just a faulty lock cylinder, but the brake issue...they added an addition vacuum pump to the car so it could pull enough vacuum for the brake booster to do it's job.

My good ol 488whp L61 on the other hand...never had any problem with it that wasn't self inflicted.

I would say the LNF isn't of the "new" GM because it was probably designed and fully engineered a year or so ahead of the collapse. Plus its not like they cleaned house in the engineering and production areas, it was mostly upper management but I do understand that since its a newer engine obviously it will have a year or two of working kinks out.
Since I work at a dealership I see that A LOT with the first year of a new model car. 2008 CTS is a prime example. Goofy wiring problems that are usually the fault of the beginning of productions getting the rhythm of building cars.

I may be going to a sleeved block from a LK9 motor instead but I haven't decided for sure. The DI is really temping but I have seen injector pump and injectors prices at my cost and its not pretty.
