So I stated a while ago that I bought a new throttle body gasket cause our factory ones are known for leaking air. It also gave me the excuse to clean my throttle body cause I'm sure the previous owner never did it. I also sprayed some cleaner into my bypass valve hoping to that might clean it out some. I took some pictures...

Here is my old gasket when I finally got it taken off...it was so melted onto the throttle body that removing it was in pieces and had to use a razor as well.

My throttle body was a bit dirty...

Cleaned it out and scrubbed it down with some throttle body cleaner

Here is my BLOX throttle body gasket

and my gasket installed so you can see how thick it is...

I haven't driven the car enough yet to see if it made that much of a difference especially cause I reset the computer on the car but I'll let you guys know.

As far as my parts go, I got my wastegate and internal wastegate braket so far...bypass valve and up-pipe are in the mail. Clamp and Hose haven't been sent out yet cause it was on back order.

    I haz mo' partz!

So since I cleaned the throttle body, my idle is better and car pulls better in and out of boost so it was def worth doing. Parts wise, I'm still waiting on my reducer coupler and my new bypass valve will be here Monday but won't be installing it till Wednesday.

However, I do I have my other parts... Tial 38 MM MV-S V-Band Wastegate, Ultimate Racing Up-pipe and Grimmspeed Internal Wastegate bracket.

I still need to order just one more gasket that goes between my manifold and up-pipe which is only like $17 (its 100% thicker than the factory one) from Grimmspeed. I'll probably do that today.

The install of the external wastegate will also include a re-tune, so it will probably be a couple weeks before I get it done. Its just a matter of saving money.

So today I got the new Forge Motorsports Bypass Valve installed and it resolved every issue I was having from rough idle, not holding max boost at higher gears and just general qwirky driving issues. Its not loud but I can tell its louder than the factory bypass valve. It helps me run super smooth and the spring in it can handle up to 20 PSI and if I ever decide to run something crazier, there is another spring I can get. Overall, my car is finally alive and no more weird driving issues.

Wastegate install it next week Thursday and I ordered the gasket for between the uppipe and the manifold

The install was finished today but the tune won't be done till the morning. Car is there and the install went fine but during the install, the shop found that I had 2 coolant leaks, one for each side of my turbocharger. This explains why I was having overheating issues last week. They were able to resolve but it took more time to fix it. The bottom one in order to fix, we had to remove the turbocharger. Also found that one of my boots in the front is leaking and needs replacement...great....so thats the next thing I have to look into getting fixed.

I'm picking up the car tomorrow morning tuned and ready to go. I'll post up all the info tomorrow.

Please don't use a flash in a pic when you are holding something. Makes you look to white(lol). Sorry man. That build is going and looking great. I'm very sad that I don't have a WRX now.
